Will our coral look like the left or the right?

Coral bleaching occurs when coral dies and the amazing colours disappear. As our oceans warm they absorb more carbon dioxide. Co2 is acidic and this causes our oceans ph to increase. This is called ocean acidification. It is happening so quickly that the coral can not adapt and dies.

Why do we need coral?

It acts as an amazing nursery to marine life usually in the juvenile phase. We need to protect our current coral beds with marine conservation zones to enable our marine life to thrieve.

A beautiful original horse watercolour painting on A4.
