The opening of Pandora's box

A drawing of the ancient Greek myth. I like to take the optimistic view of the myth that despite all the evils that escape, hope still remains safe in the box and that hope never leaves.

Those Greek gods were very naughty.

15 by 11 inches original watercolour (some white calligraphy ink might be used too).

An original watercolour of the Greek myth of Pandora's box.

Title:
The opening of Pandora's box

There are many differing interpretations of many Greek myths. The myth of Pandora's box is no exception. In opening the box all of the worlds evils escaped. It is said that hope did not escape and therefore does not exist in the world or that hope remained in the box and always remains and survives.

I like to take the optimistic view of the myth that despite all the evils that escape, hope still remains safe in the box and that hope never leaves.

This can also be applied to climate change the left side of hope remains and the right is where hope has gone. I guess like all these things its down to interpretation.

I hope you like it any questions please ask, always happy to help.
